TRUE CRIME WRITER - The Wimbledon Tennis Killer - July 2015 on CrimeMagazine.com by Siobhan Pat Mulcahy

Other tennis  players have been convicted of theft, tax evasion, embezzlement, and drug offenses but only one Wimbledon player has ever been convicted of murder. Vere St. Leger Goold had money, style and good looks and his adoring fans expected him to win the Wimbledon final.  He had battled so hard to get there. Instead, the “wild Irishman” with a razor sharp volley and magnificent backhand lost the match – which should have been his finest hour. Years later, he would be arrested in Marseilles with a dead woman's head in a "hat box".

True Crime Writer - IRELAND'S DRIPPING KILLER, KATE WEBSTER - published in CrimeMagazine.com - October 2014 by Siobhan Pat Mulcahy

VICTORIAN Britain was horrified by a 30-year-old Irish woman who murdered her employer, dismembered the body, threw bits of it into the river Thames, boiled the head (and other body parts) and sold the fat as "dripping" in local pubs. She blamed two innocent men for the crime and when that didn't work, she pretended to be pregnant so that the judge wouldn't give her the death penalty.
Such was her notoriety that Madame Tussaud's rushed to create a wax statue of her which remained on display in London for 80 years. Read the story of the DRIPPING KILLER on CRIMEMAGAZINE.COM  HERE

True Crime Writer - SHOCKING DEATHBED MURDER CONFESSIONS - CrimeMagazine.com - JUNE 2014 by Siobhan Pat Mulcahy

Mark "Chopper" Read
When death stares them in the face, even cold-blooded murderers sometimes feel the need to unburden themselves before they go. Perhaps they do it so they can leave the world with a “clear conscience” or maybe they do it to benefit the people they will leave behind. Some of these deathbed murder confessions are harrowing in the extreme. Australia's most notorious killer makes four more murder confessions from his deathbed, Terminally ill Londoner confesses to strangling a man and burying him under concrete, Pillar of the community makes deathbed confession to murder so he could “cleanse his soul” then he doesn't die, Hollywood actress confesses to killing a movie director but the crime remains “unsolved” and many more. Read my feature story: "SHOCKING DEATHBED MURDER CONFESSIONS" published in CrimeMagazine.com here.

JIHAD ON TWITTER: DOES ANYBODY GIVE A DAMN? (NOVEMBER 2013) by Siobhan Pat Mulcahy

While global Jihadists spread their extremist propaganda around the globe on Twitter, British extremists are trying to do the same - laughing at Remembrance Day and British soldiers, demanding Shariah law for all British women, dreaming of when the black Muslim flag will fly over Westminster and demanding a British Jihadi revolution. Read my UK and Middle East Jihad list here .

Jack the Ripper: Francis Tumblety's Irish Origins - Anglo-Celt Newspaper October 2013 by Siobhan Pat Mulcahy

It has been a mystery for decades.

Tumblety posing as a Union soldier in the 1860s
Where was prime Jack the Ripper suspect, Francis Tumblety born? The quack doctor, charlatan and liar claimed he was born "near Dublin" but he was always vague about his connection with Ireland. Over time, as other researchers tried and failed to find any evidence of him or his life in the old sod, I guessed they might be searching in the wrong place or at least the wrong city. The Irish name "Tumblety" with its many spellings originated in Ireland's border counties: Cavan, Fermanagh and Down so I began my search in that region. A letter to the Anglo-Celt newspaper asking for help solved the puzzle. More specifially, a midnight phonecall from a Cavan woman led me to write the story "Jack the Ripper - Francis Tumblety's Cavan Origins". You can read this story published in the Anglo-Celt newspaper here.
